The Lowell Fund Application

    To be considered for a grant from The Lowell Fund, please complete the following online application.

 

The organizations with the best chance of being selected to receive grants are smaller, grassroots organizations (mostly or all volunteer) that meet the requirements of supporting the well-being of large, mixed-breed dogs, pit-bull type dogs, and large senior dogs who have been abandoned, injured, mistreated, neglected, exploited or are otherwise in need. The grants will be awarded to eligible organizations to ensure such dogs receive high-quality, compassionate medical treatment, shelter, protection, and care to allow for adoption into loving homes, and to promote an appreciation of these dogs in need.

Please read through all of the questions before answering them, and answer all of the questions fully and completely. The quality and detail of your responses are important. Your application will be committee-reviewed.

What grant amount are you seeking? Amount should be between $5,000 and $20,000.*
Please note: Grant amounts awarded will vary according to the organization's need and demonstrated ability to utilize the funding.
For what purpose are you requesting this grant? Please be specific and include your organization's mission statement. Applications that demonstrate a broader strategy and vision for helping the target dogs are preferred.*

A copy of your organization’s financial statement or budget for the current fiscal year and the prior fiscal year. Please note that organizations that fail to attach the requested paperwork will be ineligible to receive an award.
A copy of your organization’s budget for the program you seeking funding for.  Please note that organizations that fail to attach the requested paperwork will be ineligible to receive an award.

Please review the following information before submitting your application:

  • This application must be submitted online. Paper applications are not available and mailed or faxed versions of the online application cannot be accepted.
  • The HSUS may contact you or your organization to request additional information to supplement this grant application.
  • All organizations selected to receive a grant will be required to sign a grant agreement prior to receiving funds and abide by its terms.
  • Completion of this application does not guarantee your organization will be selected to receive a grant.
  • Follow up (before and after) photos and video are desired to showcase your success!
