The functions of the Animal Assessment Specialist are to perform objective/accurate evaluations of animals at the Kansas Humane Society to assure the adoption of physically and behaviorally healthy pets, develop and implement behavior modification and enrichment programs, and provide callers with behavioral advice/support. A background in positive reward based training/animal handling preferred. Applicants should prefer and have the ability to cope with physically and emotionally demanding work.
