Animal Care Manager
South Suburban Humane Society
The Animal Care manager is responsible for the overall management, animal husbandry, and daily operations of the kennels. He/she reports directly to the Executive Director (ED) and coordinates the activities for the canine and feline assistants and kennel attendants to insure a seamless operation. Evaluate and monitor animal care protocols, vaccination schedules, ongoing health of all shelter animals. Coordinate the placement of pets into Foster Care. Responsible for statistics on all animals. Determine animals disposition so as to provide space availability for incoming animals. Coordinate and manage Transfer/Adoption Programs to local rescues/shelters.
