WHS seeks Animal Care Manager for its largest shelter caring for 10,000 animals a year. Ensure best practice care and cleaning procedures and prepare staff to handle larger volumes of animals as we increase capacity. Implementation of a strong behavior/enrichment program and medical care protocols is expected. WHS fulfills the animal control contract for DC and serves all animal species. Successful candidate will have 3-5 years management experience; proven ability to hire and train excellent staff; experience with outstanding animal care and improving the quality of shelter life; and strong organizational skills.
