Medical Director

Progressive open admission agency seeks Medical Director to oversee care of 12,000 animals sheltered and 8,000 animals sterilized annually at regional high volume clinic. Ensure best practice medical care, conduct exams; perform Spay/Neuter surgery once a week (minimum 30/day) in new clinic overlooking the Capitol. Responsible for development, oversight of medical and disease prevention/management protocols. DVM from accredited veterinary school; previous shelter medicine experience; a leader with high standards and ability to train, motivate staff. You’ll make a huge impact on the lives of tens of thousands of animals and will help plan the new Animal Care Center for the nation’s capitol.
