Paws, a no kill shelter in Norwalk, Ct. is seeking an individual with a high level of comfort working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. In addition, the individual should be knowledgeable concerning traits and attributes specific to certain breeds, along with handling. This position requires, but is not limited to strong organizational and time management skills, excellent customer service skills and effective interpersonal relationship skills with employees and volunteers.The candidate must have previous dog adoption experience. Critical to this position is the ability to coordinate and manage the timely flow of applications, reference checks, dog introduction appointments and follow ups. The adoption coordinator is required to utilize insight, intuitiveness and sound judgement in application approvals. As the adoption coordinator, you will be expected to demonstrate the utmost professionalism and team mentality. The position is full time, salary commensurate with experience. The position requires evening and weekend hours along with some holidays.
