Behavior & Training Team Member

Santa Fe Animal Shelter

The Santa Fe Animal shelter seeks an individual with animal behavior and shelter work experience to join its Behavior Department. The Behavior & Training Team Member works independently & collaboratively with others in implementing & supporting shelter-approved programs & SOPs for behavior change & management for the mental welfare & adoptability of animals at the shelter. The ideal candidate would have the ability to train & guide volunteers in behavior enrichment programs, support adopters & pet owners with advice regarding behavioral issues, & identify & modify behavioral issues of varying severity. This position requires a flexible schedule, ability to lift up to 50 pounds & walk up to one mile without stopping, plus a willingness to work with dogs of all sizes & breeds, cats & other species.
