Shelter Manager

Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando

The primary responsibilities of the Shelter Operations Manager are to: Oversee the daily performance and operations function of the shelter including: staff management, kennels, and grounds. Oversee the management of receiving, adoptions and animal daily care, including processing of all animals. Work with the Medical Manager in providing appropriate medical care to sick shelter animals. Oversee the management of a humane euthanasia process. Ensure compliance with operational objectives for legality, quality and cost effectiveness. Identify, develop, and implement creative/innovative enhancements to the existing functional processes. Anticipate problems before they arise and take actions to mitigate. The Shelter Operations Manager works in collaboration with all Pet Alliance departments and divisions. The Shelter Operations Manager/Sanford is highly visible to the public; interacts routinely with all shelter and shelter medical operations; supervises other staff.
