Shelter Manager

Bay Area Pet Adoptions

Hands-on management position for non-profit, limited intake animal shelter in San Leon, TX. Responsibilities include supervision of daily shelter operations including animal health, adjustment of canine/feline admissions based on available space and funding, facility care, customer service, adoption facilitation, shelter cleanliness, purchasing of supplies, and cash handling. Responsible for communicating job expectations to staff, job training, staff evaluations, and implementing policies and directives of BOD. Will be cross-trained in every position as back-up. Vet Tech skills required. Must work some weekends and holidays, and have insurable driving record. High School diploma/GED required. College degree preferred but will consider experience in lieu of degree. $28,000 base annual salary, increases available depending on experience. Paid vacation. No health insurance.
