If you are a veterinarian with a passion for lifesaving and an abiding compassion for animals and people, we invite you to apply to Nevada Humane Society. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES The primary responsibilities include performing high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter surgeries for shelter and public animals, performing additional surgeries as needed on shelter animals (e.g. nucleation, exploratories, orthopedics, tumor removal with biopsy, dentals, amputations), providing veterinary care for over 15,000 animals every year, and monitoring the health of and treatment animals in the shelter. These responsibilities are performed in coordination with a clinic and shelter staff, including three other veterinarians.
