Animal Care & Control of NYC

Provide leadership, direction, and training for the medical and surgical care of all shelter animals. Triage and stabilize ill and injured animals, diagnose and treat medical conditions, anesthetize and perform surgery. Recognition and documentation of animal cruelty, including expert witness testimony. Advise on placement and euthanasia decisions. Work to ensure health of population and compliance with relevant state law and city code. Properly record all drug activity, DEA logs and statistics, medical records, data entry. DVM, VMD, or equivalent degree; Licensure in NYS state; previous clinical experience; keen surgical and diagnostic skills. Visit nycacc.org/careers.htm for a full job description.
