The individual will administer medications, vaccinations, maintain clinical records, and perform initial and ongoing assessment of surgery clients. Additionally, they will monitor the health of animals in the shelter, provide care and treatment to sick and injured animals, and prepare shelter animals for veterinary care and spay/neuter surgery. A strong commitment to animal welfare and proper treatment of animals is required. The Espanola Valley Humane Society is an open admissions shelter that receives up to 400 animals a month.
