High volume spay/neuter a plus but willing to train the right candidate. PAWS Wellness Clinic provides a means for low income families and animal rescue organizations in Philadelphia to access basic veterinary services for their dogs and cats. The clinic is equipped with the medications and resources to handle routine outpatient cases including wellness exams, skin conditions, upper respiratory infections, gastrointestinal disease, non-emergent urinary tract conditions, minor soft-tissue injuries, and other preventative care. The clinic veterinarian is responsible for examining in-house shelter animals that require medical attention as well as seeing approximately 15-20 appointments through the outpatient clinic.

    PurrHaven, Inc has received grants to fund spay neuter for unowned feral cats and begin to put an end cat overpopulation in Washington County Maryland. But we need volunteers to get these needy kitties from the Hagerstown Maryland area to the Metro Ferals spay neuter clinic in Eldersburg Maryland which is open every other Sunday. You can either do the morning drive in to the clinic and the afternoon pickup or just one of the shifts. You must love animals, be a cautious, careful driver, be on time, and have excellent driving record and no criminal background. Your vehicle must be enclosed and climate controlled (no open bed pickup trucks) and accommodate a minimum of 5 covered humane traps with cats. Even if you can only volunteer just one time, you will be contributing to ending feline over population and saving lives. Our benefits are: stipend for gas, and free dry bagged cat food, or a gift certificate for lunch for two at the new Big Cork Vineyard for in Rohrersville Maryland.
