Required to work at least one weekend per quarter, but no on call or emergency responsibilities. Our clinics are located at our sanctuary sites in East Smithfield and Wellsboro.     PAWS is hiring full time veterinarian for our low cost high volume spay/neuter and wellness clinic. The tentative schedule is Sundays through Thursdays from 9-5 with one 11-7 day. This is somewhat flexible but Saturday or Sunday is required. PAWS Wellness Clinic provides a means for low income families and animal rescue organizations in Philadelphia to access basic veterinary services for their dogs and cats. The clinic is equipped with the medications and resources to handle routine outpatient cases including wellness exams, skin conditions, upper respiratory infections, gastrointestinal disease, non-emergent urinary tract conditions, minor soft-tissue injuries, and other preventative care. The clinic veterinarian is responsible for examining in-house shelter animals that require medical attention as well as seeing approximately 15-20 appointments through the outpatient clinic. High volume, high quality spay/neuter skills are a plus. Surgery days are a mix of 14 dogs and 14 cats.
