  • Animal/Customer Care Specialist (Part-Time)

    Humane Society of the South Platte Valley

    Humane Society of the South Platte Valley is currently looking to fill part time positions. These positions may range from 20-38 hours per week. This is a part time position including weekend shifts. The position helps in every department of the shelter. The primary responsibilities include cleaning and caring for the animals in the facility, providing customer care service, assisting medical staff with health care, and assisting with processing animals both medically and behaviorally in order to go up for adoption. We are looking for reliable, hard working, positive people. You MUST be willing to physically work hard in a fast paced environment! Although the position is incredibly rewarding, there is strenuous work involved. Animal handling experience in a professional capacity is REQUIRED (ex: doggie day care, animal hospital, boarding facility). Customer service experience is REQUIRED.   • Volunteer and Offsite Coordinator

    The Volunteer & Offsite Coordinator works to support ACL’s growing volunteer program. Responsibilities include: Conducting new volunteer orientations; recruiting, training, developing and scheduling volunteers for all areas of ACL programs and services; Transporting animals to/from offsite events and acting as a lead at those events to ensure adoption goals are being met; maintaining spreadsheets and reports. This position requires a true passion for people in combination with a love for animals, exceptional inter-personal and organizational skills, as well as a high-comfort level speaking to groups and engaging people in conversation.
