  • Rescue Coordinator

    The Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS) is searching for a full time Rescue Coordinator. The Rescue Coordinator is responsible for all rescue procedures including recruiting new rescue organizations, verifying references, notifying rescues of available animals, organizing transportation and following up on Spay/Neuter of rescued animals. The Rescue Coordinator works closely with animal care staff and medical staff to evaluate animals to determine their eligibility for rescue. The Rescue Coordinator may be exposed to such conditions as dust, wetness, odors, high noise levels, chemical cleaning agents, animals with behavior issues, and sick animals. The person in this position will be constantly moving about the shelter, handling animals of all sizes in a variety of areas and positions (low cages, high cages, on tables, on the floor, in vehicles, etc.).
