BARCS is the only open admission shelter in Baltimore city and handles the largest volume of dogs and cats in the state of Maryland. We receive almost 12,000 dogs and cats each year and care for 250-300 dogs and cats daily. Truly make a difference in animals’ lives and in the community by joining our busy yet fun team of dedicated people. Animal handling experience required. Duties include medicating cats and dogs; surgery room assistance; data entry; hospital sanitation; and customer service and education.
