    Foothills Animal Shelter

    The Social Media intern will be expected to assist with updates on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube; respond to posts or comments to increase engagement; write and post content related to pet bios, success stories, adoption promotions and other relevant information; take photos and videos for posts when needed; use analytics and insights to assess trends and activity on the Shelter’s Facebook and Twitter pages; assist with large national summer campaign. The ideal candidate is someone who is a creative self-starter who is comfortable with both taking initiative and working in collaboration; is detail-oriented, organized and efficient; can multi-task and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment; is an excellent writer and can meet deadlines; believes in Shelter mission.   • Field Initiatives Program Manager, Rescue Waggin' - PetSmart Charities (Flexible Location)

    POSITION SUMMARY This position is open due to organizational growth and is responsible for developing and implementing objectives and strategies for achieving the strategic plan of PetSmart Charities, Inc. (“PCI”) through (1) analyzing trends and developments in the field to project future needs and opportunities; (2) identifying innovative and effective programs for addressing them; (3) developing and recommending program strategies and goals; and (4) overseeing at least one major grant or field initiative program. (5) A demonstrated commitment to the mission of PetSmart Charities of ending pet homelessness. This role is focused primarily on the Rescue Waggin' program but may also involve some collaboration & responsibilities related to the in-store adoptions and Everyday Adoption Centers.     The Development Manager will assist the Executive Director with the preparation of an annual communications plan and a strategic fundraising plan. It is the primary responsibility of the Development Manager to implement these plans with the support of volunteer committees and available staff members. The key revenue sources within the scope of the Development Manager’s responsibilities include: relationship management, grant work, signature event fundraising, limited “third party event” oversight, and individual gift appeals. Three to five years of development experience with a non-profit business is preferred, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree within a relevant field.
