Triage and stabilize ill and injured animals (including on-call as needed), diagnose and treat a wide variety of medical conditions, anesthetize animals as needed, and perform surgery. Recognition and documentation of animal cruelty, including expert witness testimony. Must be willing to work with a wide variety of species, focusing on cats and dogs. Helps maintain the human animal bond by working to prevent surrenders and works to minimize length of stay by compiling a comprehensive animal profile to help direct placement efforts, or by diverting intakes entirely.

Join our small, efficient and fun staff while enjoying the beauty of the mountains and the Ocoee River. Clinic has been in operation for more that six years and has played a huge part in reducing shelter intake by 40% and counting. Our spay/neuter services are available to the public, rescue groups and both local shelters. $350 to $400 per day, five days per week ideal but four if you prefer. The Jersey Shore Animal Center, a private non-profit animal shelter, is seeking a shelter/low cost S/N clinic veterinarian. The position will include supervising medical care of the shelter animals and spay/neuter surgeries. We have a well equipped surgery suite and will be starting a low cost spay/neuter clinic to service our local community. The applicant must be prepared to start the clinic from the ground up.
