    HSMSC is currently seeking a full time Veterinarian (four days per week, 6 hrs. per day) for our new spay and neuter mobile unit, based at our Memphis, TN location and serving the Shelby County area. You will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the mobile unit veterinary/tech staff, and overseeing all medical care for all animals receiving services on mobile unit. The primary responsibilities include performing spay/neuter surgeries and monitoring the health of treated animals during recovery.     The Dumb Friends League has two state of the art high quality mobile surgery units and we are looking for CVT’s with a high level of technical skill who are interested in being part of a unique team! Although this is a high volume clinic, we provide excellent, high quality care. Each animal is given pre and post-operative pain medication and follow up care or issues are addressed free of charge and seen by a veterinarian. Technicians should be prepared for a large volume of surgeries each day; 30 on an average day and up to 50-80 for a special pre-planned event. The small team consists of 2 veterinarians, 3 technicians and 3 assistants and has completed over 8,500 surgeries this past year. Each vehicle is fully equipped with kennels, prep area and surgery area.
