The Clinic Assistant position consists principally of performing the daily maintenance and monitoring of our cat population, with medicating (giving oral pills or liquids, injections, eye drops and ointments, subcutaneous hydrations, etc.) our resident cats being the primary responsibility. Some prior experience (professional or personal) with medicating cats is required. This position also requires a very positive attitude and a strong sense of team work. We are currently looking for a full-time staff member with a flexible schedule who is seeking long-term employment. A combination of morning (7:00am until 3:00pm) and evening shifts (11:00am until 7:00pm), including weekends and holidays, is required.     The PAWS Chicago Lurie Spay/Neuter Clinic is looking for an experienced Surgical Veterinary Technician. We are the Midwest’s largest low-cost, high volume spay/neuter and vaccine clinic, averaging 85 spay/neuters and 26 vaccine clients per day. You must be proficient at IV med administration and intubating both cats and dogs, along with at least two years veterinary technician experience. Workdays include Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. As a member of our Relief staff you would be scheduled to work anywhere from 1-8 times per month, for 9-11 hours per shift.
