Main responsibilities include experience in restraining large and/or fractious animals, prepping for surgery, monitoring, post-op recovery, and to perform calmly and professionally in the event of an emergency. The Veterinarian Assistant or Veterinarian Technician will also be responsible for administering vaccinations, other injections, and maintaining computerized medical records. Familiarity with infectious disease transmission/prevention, and basic laboratory skills preferred. This position is for Friday's only but with the possibility of additional hours. We are the Midwest’s largest low-cost, high volume spay/neuter and vaccination clinic. Your primary responsibility will be preparing dogs/cats for their spay/neuter surgeries with duties including: drawing & administering IV meds, intubating, and vaccinating as needed. At least 3 years previous tech experience is required for those without a CVT. Part Time Employment - 9am-6pm every Sunday, with possibility of other days and hours to be added.
