    The Espanola Valley Humane Society, an open admission animal shelter is seeking a Director of Medicine. The medical services our shelter currently offers include a HQHV spay/neuter clinic which performs about 4000 surgeries on public and shelter animals per year, and a low cost vaccination/heart worm clinic. Shelter intake is approximately 4000 animals per year. The position is full time and would share on call weekends with other veterinary team members. The Director of Medicine would work closely with the Director of Operations and would be responsible for the following: management of the medical and clinic budget, supervision of the veterinary and technician team, developing and implementing surgical and medical protocols for the shelter, the HQHV spay/neuter clinic, the out of state transport program, and the low cost vaccination clinic.
