    SPCA Tampa Bay, an open managed admissions shelter, is expanding their Behavior Department! We are currently seeking a Part-Time, possibly Full- Time, Behavior Technician to add to our team. The Behavior Technician will perform canine behavioral assessments to determine the suitability of adoption versus rehabilitation. We also develop enrichment protocols and modification programs to support the mental health and well being of the animals in our care. While the majority of the Behavior Technician responsibilities surround working with dogs, a willingness to learn about and develop basic skills surrounding working with cats, rabbits and small animals is required. The successful candidate will have a minimum of one year working with dogs in a formal setting. Candidates should also have a minimum of one year training a variety of different breeds of dogs in a group obedience class setting or through private behavioral consultations.
