The Licensed Veterinary Technician at the ASPCA Animal Hospital (AAH) is responsible for a broad range of medical and administrative tasks in our 24 hour hospital that services privately-owned as well as ASPCA-owned animals. Licensed Veterinary Technicians must have a broad knowledge of animal science, medicine, and husbandry, including a basic knowledge of pharmacology and proficient mathematical skills to ensure the administration of accurate drug and fluid doses.

The Manager, CARE & Kitten Nursery is responsible for assisting the Senior Manager with the operations of the ASPCA’s 91st Street facility, housing the Canine Annex for Enrichment & Recovery (CARE) as well as the seasonal Kitten Nursery (open from April through September), a 24/7 unit. CARE focuses on the daily behavioral and medical needs of canines. It provides shelter for up to 43 dogs, with the capacity to increase to a maximum of 60 during emergencies.

FELINE ADOPTION COORDINATOR PAWS (Pet Animal Welfare Society), a no kill shelter in Norwalk, CT. is seeking a dynamic individual to manage the feline program. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to intake of cats, responding to relinquishment of cats with intervention strategies and providing the public with resources for stray/feral cats. In addition, the manager communicates all medical and behavioral issues to the vet tech and shelter director. The most crucial aspect of this position are adoptions and fostering of our cats.

Coordinate and implement marketing strategies to increase potential adopter traffic and coordinate offsite adoption event participation. • Collaborate with development staff to create marketing materials and use social media to promote adopting animals at SPCA Tampa Bay. • Insure we are promoting our adoptable animals through all outlets available and with appropriate photos or video. • Assist Guest Services Manager with creating monthly adoption specials. • Coordinate and implement an offsite adoption program consisting of at least two offsite events a week.
