    PAWS is hiring a veterinarian for our low cost high volume spay/neuter and wellness clinic. The tentative schedule is Sundays through Thursdays from 9-5 with one 11-7 day. This is somewhat flexible but Saturday or Sunday is required. PAWS Wellness Clinic provides a means for low income families and animal rescue organizations in Philadelphia to access basic veterinary services for their dogs and cats. The clinic is equipped with the medications and resources to handle routine outpatient cases including wellness exams, skin conditions, upper respiratory infections, gastrointestinal disease, non-emergent urinary tract conditions, minor soft-tissue injuries, and other preventative care. The clinic veterinarian is responsible for examining in-house shelter animals that require medical attention as well as seeing approximately 15-20 appointments through the outpatient clinic. High volume, high quality spay/neuter skills are a plus. Surgery days are a mix of 14 dogs and 14 cats.

  • Volunteer Veterinary Technicians Needed in Phuket, Thailand

    Soi Dog Foundation

    Soi Dog Foundation in Phuket, Thailand currently welcomes volunteer veterinary technicians to help treat over 400 dogs and cats currently at our shelter. Our organization operates a very fast-paced and challenging veterinary clinic which sees emergencies daily as well as a busy mobile sterilization program. The shelter currently employs 4-5 full-time Thai and Western veterinarians and has in-house bloodwork and isolation facilities. To date, Soi Dog Foundation has sterilized over 70,000 dogs and cats in Thailand. Based out of Phuket, our shelter is located on a beautiful island with world-class beaches for volunteers to enjoy. Applicants should be self-guided and have the ability to multi-task as well as communicate in a professional manner with members of the community and shelter staff members. It is our hope that volunteers experience hands-on interaction with patients, learn technical skills in a limited-resource environment, and participate in diagnostic and treatment decisions.
