    • Receive and investigate reports of animal neglect and cruelty inside Jefferson County. • Provide in-depth education to pet owners in the community regarding animal protection, responsible pet ownership, and animal care and welfare. Decipher their needs and provide assistance when appropriate. • Maintain accurate records to ensure follow-up calls are made in a timely manner. • Carry out all duties with humanity and professionalism compliant with GBHS policies and standards. • Admitting pets into the facility. This includes the gathering of information concerning the animal, completing appropriate documentation, and placing the pet in the intake area for processing. • Assist in cleaning and maintenance of the intake area and companion care when necessary. • Perform euthanasia as required. Provide safe and sanitary conditions for all pets at the facility. This includes cleaning housing of all types of pets. Inspect and clean department vehicles and equipment daily and report problems.
