  • Position Wanted: Turnaround Interim Director

As an experienced interim director for one of northeast Ohio's largest animal shelters, I am looking to spend my summer improving your animal welfare organization. During my semester-long sabbatical from teaching biology, I managed a $1 million budget, improved morale by creating a positive and progressive atmosphere, set monthly and overall records for adoptions, doubled the number of full-time veterinarians in our clinic, increased our number of volunteers and foster homes by 25%, secured an account that improved our feeding program to a healthier and cost-saving local brand, and broadened our target audience to include a younger demographic. In addition, I instituted several new programs including one that provides shelter dogs trained to assist veterans with PTSD and children with autism.
