    Two full-time positions open for an Animal Care Technician. Salary: $9-10 Hourly; depending on experience. Job Type: Full-time. Shift: One position open 2:00 pm—9:00 pm; One position open for 7:00 am - 4:00 pm. Requires weekends and some holidays. The ACT is responsible for providing humane handling and care for all animals while assuring all animal’s needs are met on a daily basis. The position is required to assist the practitioners to the fullest extent possible, to help improve the quality of care given to the adoptable animals in the care of the SLAL and to aid the practitioners in achieving greater efficiency by relieving them of technical work and administrative detail. This position will serve as a liaison between the attending veterinarian, other staff, and the client.They will provide caring, humane treatment to animals in a safe healthy environment. Veterinary/Animal Care Experience Strongly Preferred.Job is physically demanding. MUST be reliable and dependable.

    South Lake Animal League is a nonprofit animal welfare organization serving the homeless pets in the Central Florida area since 1988. We are seeking a motivated, passionate veterinarian to help open our new spay/neuter and wellness veterinary practice to the public. Candidate duties include performing high quality/high volume S/N, wellness physicals and vaccinations to the public's pets, and some oversight of the SLAL Adoption Center Medical Division. Must be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the State of Florida. Must obtain a Drug Enforcement Administration License within 60 days of hire.
