    Cat Depot is seeking a polished and positive Volunteer Coordinator to work in partnership with all departments, including cat care, adoptions, medical, events, and communications. The position is fast paced and ever changing. Candidates should be able to multi-task and have strong leadership capabilities with a patient, compassionate demeanor. The Coordinator will recruit, train, and assign volunteers, provide ongoing support and guidance for volunteers, create and distribute various communications and publications, and participate in meetings, special events and programs. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in Word, Excel, Constant Contact, Power Point and Publisher, possess accurate record keeping skills, and demonstrate a high level of organization, time management and planning abilities. Experience in the nonprofit arena is a plus. The candidate must enjoy working with a wide variety of people on a daily basis. Must be flexible to work weekends and evenings.

  • Animal Behaviorist and Program Coordinator

    Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando

    The primary responsibilities of the Animal Behaviorist/Program Coordinator are to develop, implement and maintain shelter programs with a major emphasis on maintaining a behaviorally healthy and safe shelter population, to develop and support animal enrichment strategies and improve animal behavior. Work with shelter and volunteer staff on animal enrichment strategies and other shelter programs. Implement a Pet Manners program, routinely working with shelter dogs on basic commands to improve their overall behavior, thus increasing their adoptability. Oversee training of shelter staff and volunteers in the basic techniques of the Shelter Manners program. Manage the evaluation of shelter and community animals.
