    Allegany County Animal Shelter

    Plan and implement a comprehensive shelter health care program; perform spays and neuters for shelter dogs and cats and feral cats, and other surgeries and procedures as needed. Responsible for daily rounds to assess health of all shelter animals as well as establish medical protocols. Candidate will be expected to examine, diagnose and treat the animals in our care, and perform or supervise humane euthanasia as required. Qualifications: DVM or VMD degree from an accredited university with a Maryland license. Ability to problem solve and work with minimal supervision. Experience with high volume spay/neuter, and pediatric surgeries highly desirable. Ability to work independently and to keep a neat and organized working environment.
