    The Director of Operations works to ensure the continued evolution of the ARLGP and supports the mission to provide care and treatment to homeless animals, while promoting humane education and spay/neuter programs in Southern Maine. This position provides leadership and direction for the efficient and smooth operation of shelter procedures and policies, customer service programs and delivery, field services, facility oversight and animal placement. This position oversees the proper utilization of inventory, purchasing and cash handling, as well as management of animal inventory and decisions making regarding animal placement policies. Supports and facilitates the ARLGP customer service guidelines and processes to ensure quality services and programs, animal care, and shelter aesthetics. Ensures quality programming that is in accordance with ARLGP mission, goals, management and resources. Responsible for managing budgets, supervising staff and writing policies and procedures.

  • Feline Animal Care Tech/Off site Adoption Coordinator

    To organize the off site cat adoption program. To communicate with the off site locations about cats in their care. Keep accurate records of off site animals. To clean and maintain the animal shelter in a sanitary, humane and cost-effective manner. To provide animals in our care with an enriched, compassionate environment while they await adoption. To assist customers in the selection of animals as needed. Excellent organizational skills and customer service experience. Demonstrated ability in oral communication skills. The ability for hard, physical work in an emotional and stressful environment, sense of humor and ability to lift 50 pounds. Must possess a valid State of Maine driver's license or the ability to obtain one. Must be able to use own vehicle as needed. Flexible schedule required including some evenings and weekend work. Looking for positive individuals that are flexible and comfortable with change.
