    SAVE, A Friend to Homeless Animals

    Perform technical and routine animal care and related duties in animal shelter setting. Job includes, but is not limited to, administering medications, injections, and vaccinations, performing routine examinations, drawing blood, assisting shelter veterinarian, and cleaning and maintaining medical areas (isolation, ringworm, treatment room, and surgery room). Maintain patient records, medical logs, and pharmacy records. Provide quality customer service and education to visitors, potential adopters and volunteers. Technician must use independent judgement and training to take appropriate actions to deal with typical recurring situations. Applicant must possess a strong work ethic, flexibility, and adaptability. Must demonstrate commitment to the mission, values, goals, and success of SAVE. Minimum of 2 years experience required.     Looking for full time employee available to work 5-6 days per week and some holidays. Must be within 30-40 minutes of Columbia, NJ. Duties will include feeding, cleaning, mucking, administering medications, general labor, some farm maintenance, socializing animals and overseeing their overall care. Must be willing to work outdoors all day and in extreme weather and temperatures. Must have general knowledge about animals to determine changes in behavior, sickness, etc. Non-smoker and vegan/vegetarian preferred. Pay is hourly based on experience. Start ASAP!
