    Liberty Humane Society is seeking a skilled technician with a desire to make a real difference for shelter animals and the community to join our team as Lead Veterinary Technician. The Lead Veterinary Technician will oversee shelter medicine responsibilities, monitoring the health of animals in the shelter, providing care and treatment to sick and injured animals, and preparing animals for veterinary care and spay/neuter surgery. Duties include vaccinating animals during intake and adoption, drawing blood for testing, medicating, customer service and education, humane euthanasia, shelter sanitation, inventory and data entry. In addition, the position will ensure that the clinic facility and equipment is clean and in good working order and will oversee the assistant veterinary technician. The right candidate will be a self-motivated professional dedicated to our mission of animal welfare and community support and who thrives in a high pressure but supportive environment.
