    As a Humane Officer you must live in the county you will be working in. The duties of the Humane Officer include: Working closely with many other agencies that include but are not limited to; local Police Departments, Sheriff Department, State Highway Patrol, Dog Wardens, etc. Responding to all complaints of animal cruelty; prioritizing the complaints by the level of suffering and the danger the animal is in. Investigating all forms of animal cruelty, including but not limited to; neglect, abandonment, abuse, etc. Facilitating the hiring, training, supervision and scheduling of Rescue Techs to effectively cover all hours of operation (5 pm to 5 am each weekday, weekends and holidays). Becoming a Certified Euthanasia Technician, and will humanely euthanize severely sick or injured animals as needed. Any additional duties that may be required for the welfare of the MCSPCA; therefore enabling the MCSPCA to continue its mission of protecting animals.
