    Loudoun County Animal Services is seeking a Pet Placement Specialist to play a leadership role in our assessment, enrichment, and transfer program. The Pet Placement Specialist is responsible for ensuring completion of cat and dog behavior evaluations in an accurate and timely manner and researching and securing pathways for animals that require behavioral intervention in the shelter, transfer to rescue, or temporary foster care while ensuring public safety and welfare. Other duties include but are not limited to: coordinating enrichment for shelter pets to maintain adoptability, monitoring the behavior of animals in the shelter and in foster care, serving as shift supervisor and providing behavior and enrichment training to staff and volunteers, with emphasis on the shelter’s cat population.
