    Safe Harbor Humane Society is seeking a Director of Shelter Operations to join our dedicated team. The position is responsible for the successful operations of the shelter and clinic, supervising a staff of 30 and assisting the Board of Directors in bringing the organization to the next level. The director is expected to provide leadership that creates a stimulating environment for the staff to grow and to ensure our animals are provided with the best possible care our resources permit. Qualifications: Minimum 5 years management experience including demonstrated supervisory skills. Animal-handing skills. Willingness to work weekends and nights as needed. Excellent interpersonal skills, familiarity with Microsoft and google products and commitment to care. Position is located in Kenosha, WI a great community less than an hour from Milwaukee and Chicago.

  • Shelter Veterinarian

    Safe Harbor Humane Society

    Safe Harbor Humane Society, is seeking a skilled, energetic, self-motivated, high volume Spay/Neuter Veterinarian with knowledge of shelter medicine. Aw are a private 501c3 open admission shelter servicing Kenosha County, WI. The primary responsibilities will include performing high-volume spay/neuter surgeries for shelter, public animals, community cats, and performing additional surgeries as needed on shelter animals. Experience with high volume spay/neuter and pediatric surgeries highly desirable. Must be able to evaluate health status in an objective manner & determine most appropriate treatment for an animal. Other responsibilities may include shelter animal care, public vaccine/wellness clinics, and community outreach. Candidates must hold or obtain upon hire a current DVM license in the state of Wisconsin, and hold or be eligible to hold DEA license.
