As we were finishing up with transporting cats out of Lamar-Dixon and as Barn 1 was closing down, we found this note taped to a wall in the cat area:
"You’ve touched our lives with Angel’s hands
Saved us when we had lost all hope
Loved us, held us, bound our hurts
Gave us safety and a pat.
We give to you our love, our purrs
Call God’s Blessings on you all
A crown of stars for every soul
You risked so much for just a Cat!
Thank you from the kitties of New Orleans
(and from Wayne & Barb Pond).
This is for all the volunteers and caregivers everywhere."
I think it was a pretty nice thank-you that was shared with many folks there.
