Volunteer Communication

Communication with volunteers is vital. Whether you choose to send paper newsletters, e-newsletters simple email communications, or regular in-person meetings, open communication with volunteers in the organization will allow the program to run more smoothly and for volunteers to truly feel a part of the team. Volunteers need to be kept abreast of relevant changes in the organization, just as staff does. This communication will help volunteers better understand the context of their work environment, and keep them invested and engaged in their work.
