Amanda’s role focuses on coordinating everything related to cruelty interventions, rescues, raids and response for HSI LA Costa Rica office, developing local strategies with the Animal Health Department of Costa Rica (SENASA), with the Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ) in charge of investigating animal cruelty cases and Local Governments. She assists in enacting and enforcing animal protection laws and other cruelty response through law enforcement trainings. Amanda has worked for 6 years rescuing and sheltering animals from animal fighting, puppy mills, hoarding and other forms of cruelty and neglect in Costa Rica and the Central American Region.
