Bethany Colonnese

Live Release Manager, City of San Antonio Animal Care Services

Starting as a volunteer with ACS in 2009, Bethany quickly traded pasta for puppies and left the restaurant industry to commit full time to animals. Starting as the adoptions supervisor in 2013, she implemented new programs, upgraded the customer experience and removed barriers to adoption. Moving to Live Release Manager in 2015 she has grown the team to include dog trainers, a community cat program, intake, and a return to owner program. Her team has implemented a robust intake diversion program, dog play group, doggie day out program, and many other progressive live saving initiatives.
