Lead Veterinary Technician, Humane Society of Sonoma County

Melina Stambolis is lead RVT at the Humane Society of Sonoma County - supervising their Spay-Neuter program and helping run their Community Veterinary Clinic (CVC) with her DVM wife, Ada Norris. The CVC is a busy sliding-scale veterinary clinic providing surgery, dentistry and “urgent” medical care for income qualifying families. Melina also travels to Puerto Rico quarterly to serve as anesthesia lead for Cornell’s Maddie’s Shelter Medicine Team providing high quality high volume spay-neuter as part of the Spay-a-thon for Puerto Rico project. Her clinical experience is broad and far-flung - from international outreach and field medicine to HVHQSN to shelter medicine to dentistry to speciality-level advanced anesthesia - Melina brings her knowledge and experience to advance the training and skill of all her team with a goal of providing consistent, high level and efficient care to every animal and the families that depend on them.
