The veterinarian plays an important role in the analysis of evidence related to animal cruelty investigations. In this session, an experienced veterinarian will present cases involving video evidence and analysis. We will discuss considerations for video viewing and how to effectively present case findings. The veterinarian will also present cases with unusual and unique patterned injuries. Veterinarians often struggle when analyzing injuries and determining their potential causes, including identifying possible weapon categories. Interpretation of animal injuries and its relationship to investigative findings will be discussed.
