Interstate and international transports have become widely popular in recent years, but a global pandemic has stopped us in our tracks. Let’s take this time to reflect upon and discuss the fundamentals of animal transport- including why we transport, the relationships between source and destination shelters, and how to mitigate infectious disease risk during transport- both for animals and humans.
