This session is geared toward animal welfare professionals who are interested in implementing an employee wellness program, but feel they don’t have the budget or resources to do so. We will share our experience creating and implementing a successful employee wellness program on a limited budget at the Humane Rescue Alliance in Washington, D.C. We will discuss the importance of creating baseline and ongoing employee interest surveys, taking advantage of free resources from your benefit vendors, tapping into your existing volunteer pool and community partners, creating an internal wellness committee and gaining executive leadership buy-in.
