Mega adoption events reach people who might not otherwise choose adoption, energize the community, and most importantly boost the number of lives saved. In this session, you will learn from the Petco Foundation leadership how “megas” are being used in communities across the country to transform lifesaving. In addition, the CEO of the Brandywine Valley SPCA will discuss how that open-access shelter puts on two events every year that average 1,000 adoptions each. Topics include recruiting area shelters to participate in these events, gaining community support, planning venues and logistics, and attracting attendees.

  • Susanne Kogut | Executive Director, Petco Foundation
  • Adam Lamb | Chief Executive Officer, Brandywine Valley SPCA
