Animal Care Expo 2020

After an exhaustive process of due diligence conversations and staff preparation efforts regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, we have come to the difficult decision to cancel Animal Care Expo 2020 on May 6-9 in San Antonio, TX. We know this message is not the one many of you were hoping to receive. For others, it may be the challenging and difficult decision you hoped the HSUS might reach. Please know that all of you reading this message are in our thoughts.

It is with deep regret that we must make this unfortunate announcement, and we invite you to click the button below to read on and learn more about the decision to cancel and next steps.

The Kentucky Humane Society’s helpline serves over 14,000 clients annually. We always begin by saying to callers, “Tell me a little more.” Encouraging people to share their circumstances and barriers provides the opportunity to help them keep their pets. The data we’ve collected through the hotline has led to grants and allowed us to better meet the needs of local pet owners. This session will give you the tools to implement pet retention initiatives at your organization, and track and report the data from your efforts. Whether you are looking to simply adjust your conversation with those calling to surrender pets or create or improve your own helpline, this session will bolster your organization's pet retention efforts.
