This is an excellent session for leadership teams to attend together for maximum impact. While many shelter teams work to meet the expectations of modern animal sheltering standards, they are often burdened by team disconnects and miscommunication. Despite these challenges, you strive for excellence and want to do your very best for homeless pets. You may have heard of the Five Freedoms, and you may even have them posted on your wall, but what can you do to ensure that your organization provides them? We will review the Five Freedoms, but more importantly we will dig into critical things that every agency should do on a daily basis to improve services, communication and programs for the animals in our care; implement pathway planning; and conduct population rounds to keep animals on the right pathway!
This program has been approved for 1.5 hours of continuing education credit for NACA members.
