This session will provide you with the tools you need to start or expand an intake by appointment program while getting your pet resource center organized to save more lives and keep families together. Intake by appointment will help control the flood of animals being surrendered and give pet owners additional time to find alternatives to surrendering their animals. Meanwhile, resource centers provide owners with tools to help them work through the behavioral, medical and financial problems that typically lead people to consider surrendering their furry family members. This session will include an interactive element to ensure everyone leaves with the tools needed to help keep pets in their homes.
This program has been approved for 1 hour of continuing education credit for NACA members.
