Halifax Humane Society (HHS), an award-winning animal shelter located in Daytona Beach, Florida - the city known for "The World's Most Famous Beach", is seeking a talented Chief Operating Officer (COO) to advance the good work of HHS shelter and animal programs. Leading the Shelter Operations Division, candidates will need a strong appreciation of science based initiatives to develop, implement and oversee progress of innovative adoption programs, admissions and transfer functions, disaster preparedness, facility maintenance, animal medical and behavior programs and fiduciary responsibilities associated with budgets.
Halifax Humane Society, a 501 (c) 3 private non-profit services over 25,000 animals in the Greater Daytona Beach area. The Organization is comprised of 3 separate locations (Main Shelter with Dog Park/Boarding/Grooming facility, Mission Based Thrift Store & S/N Clinic) in the heart of Daytona Beach. Desired applicant must have a proven career in animal welfare with 3+ years in Operations Management. Diverse array of programmatic excellence, management of 20+ employees, CAWA, Master's Degree and data management skills highly preferred.
