Job Description

The Director of Lifesaving guides ACCT’s interactions with the humans connected to the animals we support. Within an “intake to placement” model, this position oversees intake processes as well as outcomes including adoption, foster, and rescue. The Director of Lifesaving is focused on maximizing live outcomes through a progressive and aggressive, creative approach. Because so much of securing a good outcome rests in the quality of the intake process, ACCT creates a direct line from intake to outcome by positioning these functions under one “roof”. The director prioritizes programming that maximizes every available opportunity for placement and one which proactively and doggedly seeks to turn those opportunities into outcomes. On a foundation of supportive client interactions, all admissions and lifesaving work prioritizes client engagement over screening and barrier-centric approaches. As the director, this position oversees these endeavors from a high-level with on the ground support from a management team that is aligned on goals and approach.
