The HSLWR is a non-profit, no-kill, animal rescue/shelter that provides assistance and care for at-risk animals, until forever homes can be found. We primarily serve the East Counties of Manatee and Sarasota, as well as surrounding counties.

The purpose of this position is to provide general and emergency medical and surgical care to animals under the supervision of Green County Humane Society, including examination, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment cats and dogs. In this exciting part-time position, the Foster Coordinator/Rescue Assistant will be responsible for handling our fosters and looking after the adoptable dogs currently in our facility in Queens, New York. We are looking for a reliable and confident person who loves dogs and has prior experience with handling dogs within the animal rescue industry.
