Berkshire Humane Society seeks a Marketing Communications Manager to focus on promoting the shelter’s programs, services, events, and general shelter operations. Reporting to the Executive Director, the position develops and executes cohesive messaging and branding, generates and distributes press releases, manages multiple social media accounts, oversees website development, and creates electronic and printed communications. Working in close collaboration with shelter leadership, the Marketing Communications Manager assists in fundraising initiatives and event planning. This position supports other departments by providing animal photography and additional marketing needs related to animal adoption.
Expectations include: marketing experience and ability to develop and implement strategy; ability to originate and implement ideas; an understanding of animal welfare; and ability to manage/prioritize multiple projects. Excellent oral and written communication skills, computer literacy, an eye for graphic design, and strong interpersonal skills are required.
